Position Summary
Moorhead Youth Baseball is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and oversee the overall management of the organization. This individual will be responsible for daily operations, financial oversight, program development, fundraising, and representing the organization within the community. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors and the Baseball Committee to fulfill the organization's mission and goals.
Ideal Candidate / Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of youth baseball or higher-level experience as a coach, general manager, administrator, umpire, or volunteer. Our programs serve players ages 5–15.
- Proven administrative experience, with the ability to communicate and coordinate with approximately 50 teams, including parents, players, coaches, umpires, and representatives from other organizations.
- Strong time management and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and effectively participate in meetings.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible and irregular hours.
- Experience in relationship-building with donors, sponsors, and member families.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and day-to-day management of Moorhead Youth Baseball Association.
- Report to the Board of Directors on organizational operations, financial status, planning, and fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with the Baseball Committee on evaluation process and team selection.
- Ability to schedule tournaments, games, camps, and clinics.
- Lead and execute fundraising efforts, including annual sponsorships and facility fundraising campaigns.
- Manage player registration, billing, and fee collection.
- Oversee the organization’s website, email communications, and social media presence.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson and public representative of the organization.
- Maintain key relationships with the City of Moorhead, Concordia College, and other youth baseball organizations.
- Supervise the concession stand manager and oversee concession operations.
Compensation
Base Salary: $40,000 – $50,000, depending on experience, with potential for additional earnings.
